As the new President, I am deeply honoured to be entrusted the role of leading and coordinating the effort of the University of Hong Kong Alumni Association, British Columbia (HKUAABC), the 4th longest serving offshore alumni association in the HKU community worldwide and the 1st in North America that is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. Together with the new Board, we strive to continue the association’s fine tradition of fostering bonding among HKU alumni residing in BC as well as enriching their lives socially, culturally and intellectually.

This is a pivotal period in the history of the association as it undergoes major transition with the influx of newly immigrated alumni. The million-dollar question is how best could we support our members old and new with varied needs and preferences? How could the association evolve with time as we welcome graduates from Gen Z?

We ask that our members, as part of the HKU alumni family, offer us your valuable input as well as ideas that you believe the association could best support you in BC.
