Designed by board director Shelton Cheung, the logo bears rich meaning – the color green signifies HKU and HKUAABC, whereas the dogwood flower is the provincial flower of British Columbia, truly reflecting our origin and history.
2025 Christmas Party

This year’s HKUAABC Christmas Party was uniquely positioned as part of the celebratory “55th Anniversary Series,” blending traditional festive cheer with a nod to our Association’s rich history and community spirit. With over 70 members and guests in attendance, the afternoon was filled with splendid programmings including delicious food, games, lucky draw, memorable carol performance, and a festive wreath workshop.
The HKUAABC Christmas Party 2025 was more than an event; it was a vivid demonstration of our community’s heart and strength. It beautifully wove together celebration, creativity, and camaraderie, honouring our 55-year legacy while creating new, cherished memories. The overwhelming success is a direct reflection of the voluntary spirit and shared commitment that defines our Association.
We are filled with gratitude and look forward to carrying this positive momentum and collaborative spirit into the new year and all our future endeavours.
Summer Picnic

Alumni, families, and friends enjoyed a sunny afternoon picnic in Richmond with shared snacks, a guided dyke trail walk, and a breathtaking sunset finale. Newcomers and long-time members connected through warm conversations and outdoor fun.
Board Game Day

We kicked off the afternoon with a fun secret-identity game that had alumni talking, laughing and trying to figure each other out. After the icebreaker, participants split into smaller groups to explore different board games. From party games to strategy challenges, the room was filled with laughter, excitement, and new friendships forming across the tables.
Spring Dinner

A record turnout of around 150 alumni gathered for our Spring Dinner, highlighted by a friendly Mahjong competition, festive riddles, sharing from our mentee students, and warm conversations throughout the evening. It was a memorable celebration that reflected the strong spirit of our HKU alumni community.
Mindfulness Workshop
January 19, 2025
Led by alumna Dr. Venus Wong, the workshop provided a peaceful afternoon of mindfulness practice supported by therapeutic harp music. Participants enjoyed guided meditation and relaxation exercises to reduce stress and cultivate calm.
